The wheel has been a strong symbol in my life that has shown up for me within the last 5 months. When I looked up the symbolism behind it last summer, I came across this description:
WHEEL: A universal symbol of or cosmic unity, astrology, “the circle of life,” evolution, etc. Any number of radiating spokes or petals form the wheel – a Wheel of Life to Buddhists, a Medicine Wheel to Native Americans, a Mandala to Hindus. It symbolizes unity, movement, the sun, the zodiac, reincarnation, and earth’s cycles of renewal.
It was because of this description, I decided to design the kaye.yoga logo as an eight spoke wheel last fall.
This past Friday, when I went to my car, someone had left this gift. Another wheel = more unity, movement and sun for 2016.
Setting goals and resolutions for the new year is easy, it is committing to them that can prove difficult. You have to be true to you. There are ways to stay connected and grounded: meditation, yoga, making time to do pretty much anything that feeds your soul in a healthy way.
The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz is a lovely book that can help you remain accountable for your actions as well:
Be #unstoppable – Be true to you.
